Board games have been an integral part of India’s rich cultural history, some of them dating back to 3300 BC. This Covid- 19 lockdown, forced us to stay home and come together as a family to bond over conversations, food and a game or two. In the past few months we worked of these set of board games with our very talented Pattachitra artisans from Odisha, who put together these handcrafted pieces of history that are etched out on palm leaf, each design and motif coming alive with natural colours and little shells tied with colorful thread knots as your game pawns. Each game tells a story of craftsmanship, love and dedication to their craft, in these very tough times. This one’s a keepsake, a treasure that you can pass on to generations. So, let’s play?
