From the wide grasslands of Masai Mara to the majestic lifestyle that roams within it, a Kenyan safari becomes an experience of a lifetime with its display of wildcats, lions, zebras to large bird species. Inspired by these sights, sounds and adventures, here’s a collection of handcrafted necklaces with the Kenyan Kazuri beads strung together by Indian artisans, giving you Kenya and India in one unique piece.
Founded by the late Lady Susan Wood back in 1975 to create employment for struggling single mothers, Kazuri now employs 350 local women. The workshop is still located where she started Kazuri 36 years ago in Karen on part of the coffee farm once owned by Karen Blixen of ‘Out of Africa’ fame.
